This feature provides a real-time, side-by-side comparison of how proposed changes affect a user’s net permissions.
With the easy-to-use drag and drop interface, Admins can instantly visualize which System, Setup Entity, Object, and Field Permissions would be added or removed, ensuring informed decision-making.
Once the optimal permission source configuration is identified, Assignment Impact then allows admins to apply their simulated changes directly to the user record, streamlining Profile swaps and Permission Set adjustments.

Additional Feature: Compare
Another new feature addition is Compare, designed to improve visibility into Object and Field-Level Access across different users and provisioning sources.
With Compare, admins can select up to four Users, Profiles, Permission Sets, or Permission Set Groups and instantly analyze how access differs between them.
The Compare feature is currently in open beta and is fully available to try in any Salesforce environment by installing the latest version of Permatrix from the AppExchange.

With the Permission Set Smart Assignment Tool, Salesforce professionals will be able to make the most informed user management decisions to get users the access they need while limiting the excess permissions they recieve.
